Dental Support GroupThe Dental Support Group is a support group for dentists in recovery and invited guests. It is run the same way as an AA meeting. However, it is not an AA meeting. For example, we encourage members to talk about drugs other than alcohol. This is a forum for dentists to share problems and concerns affecting their professional and personal lives. We encourage the members of this group to seek the fellowships of AA, NA, or mental health groups, and for newcomers we stress the importance of attending ninety meetings in the first ninety days of recovery. Successful recovery involves not just coming to this support group meeting twice per month, but also regular attendance at other fellowship meetings, working the twelve steps of recovery with a sponsor, and working with others with similar problems.
